'Commercializing Biotech' Book Updates
- May 2009:Prestigious Kauffman Foundation grant awarded for continued expansion of the "Bioentrepreneur's Roadmap".
- April 2009: IEEE EMBS Magazine review - recommends this "well-written introduction to the field of drug and device development and commercialization" as a text for business schools, biomedical engineering design courses, and as a "first read for faculty" involved in drug or device research.
- October 1st, 2008: Washington State Biotech Association recommends Shreefal's book as "The 'How-To Bible' for launching a product"
- The text book titled 'Commercializing Successful Biomedical Technologies: Basic Principles for the Development of Drugs, Diagnostics and Devices' authored by Dr Shreefal Mehta, Executive-in-Residence at the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, was released mid-summer to a warm welcome by top educators and experienced practitioners. This inter-disciplinary book covers business, regulatory, healthcare and product development process in the medical industry and promises to become a standard text in business and science graduate programs in several countries.
The author, Dr Shreefal Mehta, draws on his substantial industry experience as an entrepreneur, a senior executive in the biotechnology industry, and a biomedical engineering scientist and educator, to lay out the process of successful biomedical product development.
