Creating Dialogue
Teaching
The implementation gap lies somewhere between management classes and engineering and science classes. Recognizing the need for managers in science-based businesses to understand technology development and for engineers and scientists to understand business issues as they guide and make decisions on the science, Shreefal Mehta conceptualized and co-taught the course “Commercializing Biomedical Technologies” at RPI, along with colleague Professor Jan Stegemann. A follow-on course was also created – “From Idea to Execution: Building, Managing and Growing a Science-Based Business”.
Consulting
Shreefal has consulted on technology commercialization planning and market planning for new breakthrough technologies. He also assists companies in planning business development activities, company building, and integration in international business mergers and acquisitions.
Lectures Given
Shreefal has been an invited speaker at several international conferences in the US, Australia and Asia, speaking on topics covering biotechnology entrepreneurship, radical innovation management, technology transfer and international and intra-firm business models.
